Practicing the Way needed checkout to feel like the rest of their work: calm, clear and careful with people's money. We run their ticketing on Hi.Events, an open-source platform, with a small set of our own changes on top rather than a fork that drifts away from upstream.
The work since launch has been the unglamorous part that matters: volunteer and last-ticket edge cases, attendee name reminders, and a fee preview that shows organizers exactly what absorbing fees costs, split into the platform fee and card processing.
The core is built so other organizations run as configuration rather than separate code, which means a fix for one customer reaches all of them.
